Croatia – Accession Negotiations with the EU
Will Croatia become an EU-member by the end this year?
Negotiations are still underway. However, with a population of 4.4 million, the Balkan Country has fulfilled 30 out of 35 criteria. According to the European Commission, Croatia will join the EU as the 28th member no later than by the end of 2012/beginning of 2013. The EU-Accession-Agreement could be signed as early as autumn.
