Good news for transport companies.
The World Bank has earmarked 150 million US dollars for the improvement of the road network system in Belarus.
The loan has, according to a statement by the World Bank's representation in Minsk, a term of 15 years, and five year grace period. The road modernisation programme will begin in 2011 and should be completed by 2015.
In 1992, Belarus became a member of the World Bank and has received to date 865 million US dollars for the conversion of a total of twelve projects. There is also an additional 22.8 million US dollars support from the World Bank being made available, designed to assist to 30 Belorussian national programmes.
