Federal Minister of Transport Peter Ramsauer this week introduced an action plan regarding goods traffic and public logistics.
In his speech, Mr. Ramsauer said that he originally took on the position of Federal Minister of Transport in order to assist the free flow of traffic, and not to hinder it. He said that he would like to organise future goods traffic on an economical, innovative and affordable basis.
The goods traffic and logistics action plan has been developed in close cooperation with the associations. They contain 30 measures and are intended to be guidelines, frameworks and working papers.
The Federal Minister of Transport expects an increase in goods traffic of around 70% up to the year 2025. The aim is to organise this increase wisely, whilst taking into account the future climate and environmental protection requirements.
