Slovenian CPM company builds motorway in the Serb Republic
The Serb Republic has selected the Slovenian building contractor CPM from Maribor as a concessionaire for the construction and maintenance of the approximately 100 kilometre stretch of motorway between Banja Luka and Doboj. The order should be signed next Sunday, according to the minister of transport of the Bosnian-Serbian constituent republic of Nedeljko Cubrilovic.
The Slovenians will put up approx. 300 million euros to finance the project, according to the Bosnian newspaper "Nezavisne novine". The construction work for the stretch of motorway between Banja Luka and Doboj could begin as soon as the end of September, according to Cubrilovic.
Should this amount of money prove insufficient, Slovenian banks would provide for further loans. The building contractor has, according to the minister, 60 days following the signing to secure the financing.
