The Central European Republic of Slovenia became a member state of the European Union on the 1st of May, 2004. The country has approx. 2 million inhabitants, with about 280,000 inhabitants in the city of Ljubljana, the country's capital and economic centre.
After the heavy floods that affected the country over the last few weeks, causing damage of more than 40 million euros, the State, although badly affected, is not to be halted in its growth.

Slovenia is the fastest-growing country from the former Yugoslavia and has an exceptionally good infrastructure, with a modern motorway network which offers the best conditions for road transport.

Approx. 53% of the employees in Slovenia work in the service industry and 40.3% for existing industrial companies. These figures speak for themselves.
